WiN UK NED Programme – Applications Open

Applications are now open for women looking to take the next step in their careers and gain board-level experience.

Following two successful years of the Non-Executive Director (NED) matching and mentoring scheme, the programme is returning for another year. Women with relevant experience are encouraged to submit their applications by 3 October 2025.

Sarah Macdonald, from the WiN UK team leading the programme, said:
“WiN UK is committed to increasing the proportion of women in senior management. By expanding the number of female NEDs, nuclear businesses can benefit from more diverse leadership, which research shows can enhance organisational performance. We’re also looking to recruit more mentors and more participating businesses, so please get in touch if you’re interested.”

Diane Richardson, CEO of the British Energy Coast Business Cluster (BECBC) and supporter of the scheme, added:
“The nuclear sector needs more female voices in senior roles and on boards. Taking part in the WiN NED programme is a concrete way to help make that happen.”

The WiN UK NED initiative supports the organisation’s target of 30% women in senior management by 2030.
