Earlier in July, WiN UK hosted its first Annual General Meeting for Women in Nuclear (WiN) UK as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee (NFP-CLG) and shared its first Annual Report and Account.
WiN UK Annual Report and Accounts 2020 to 2021
Since 2014, when WiN UK first formed as an unincorporated association and a chapter of WiN Global, this organisation, run entirely by volunteers and backed by the industry, has continued to promote gender balance across the sector. Support for WiN UK continues to grow at an incredibly impressive rate and now stands at over 1000 members.
Lynsey Valentine, President of WiN UK, said:
“The changes that we’ve made, and will go on to make, are about us growing and moving forward with the same mission but with an evolved look and feel. Since our launch six years ago WiN UK has progressed from strength to strength through all the efforts of its volunteer base and support from across the nuclear sector and beyond. As an independent company, we can now continue to grow, be masters of our own destiny and really empower and enable our members going forward.
“Against the backdrop of a global pandemic, this has been a hugely successful year for WiN UK. I am now excited about the future as we start to deliver against our new strategy and continue to grow our membership, ambassadors, charter signatories, partners and sponsors, as well as celebrate and support our amazing regional teams.
“A huge thank you to everyone who has been and continues to be involved in supporting our mission.”
