WiN UK is proud to launch the UK’s first free, nuclear sector-wide mentoring platform, bringing together professionals from across the UK nuclear industry to learn, grow and succeed together.
Powered by Mentorloop, the online platform offers a simple, accessible way for mentors and mentees from every part of the nuclear community to connect, through mentoring, groups and built-in goal setting – accessible from your phone, laptop, desktop or tablet.
Most importantly, it is open to everyone – all genders, age ranges, with no qualifications or membership necessary; because the nuclear sector’s greatest asset is its people. By creating stronger connections we can accelerate careers build confidence, increase inclusion, and help cultivate the diverse talent that will shape the future of our industry.
Sign up here today as a mentor, mentee, or both – there is no better time to invest in yourself and our community. The platform is self-service and on-demand, putting you in control of your mentoring journey by directly requesting mentors and mentees.
Research shows that mentees are five times more likely to be promoted, while mentors are actually six times more likely and report lower anxiety and higher job satisfaction than non-mentors. This is your chance to gain and prove leadership skills, broaden your network, and explore reverse mentoring by becoming a mentor with WiN UK.
Women and other underrepresented groups in nuclear are often less likely to see themselves as mentors, but we need you. We strongly believe almost anyone can be a mentor: young professionals can support students and graduates, and retirees have decades of experience to share. Your experience could shape someone else’s career, as well as your own.
Aneela Nasim, WiN UK Strategy Director, said: “Mentoring can transform careers by helping people see what’s possible—and the benefits flow both ways, with mentors gaining fresh perspectives from their mentees. Mentorloop makes these connections possible across the nuclear sector, beyond individual organisations and regions. It supports the Women in Nuclear UK strategy by developing talent and strengthening the sector’s future leadership pipeline.”
Clare Sharpe, WiN UK President added: “I passionately believe in the power of mentoring, it can transform personal growth, career development and important life choices. This is a unique opportunity to connect with mentors and mentees across the whole nuclear sector.”
Become part of a growing sector committed to supporting one another, sharing knowledge, and inspiring the next generation of nuclear professionals.
The brilliant established existing regional mentoring schemes will remain unaffected by this UK-wide programme, which is designed to complement and not replace these.
Connecting Talent. Powering Potential. Positively Nuclear.
