Women in Nuclear UK is bringing together leaders in our industry for an evening of open discussion as part of Nuclear Week in Parliament.
CEOs, senior leaders and key decision makers in the sector will attend the event on January 29 to ‘Celebrate Diversity in Nuclear Through the Power of Connection’.
Kindly sponsored by Arup, it is part of the Nuclear Industry Association’s programme of events for industry and government senior stakeholders. WiN UK would also like to thank DESNZ and Great British Nuclear for their collaboration and support.
Clare Sharpe, Win UK President, said:
“We’re continuing to build on our CEO Push for Change engagement programme and this event will see open discussion about the successes as well as the challenges and opportunities for greater gender diversity and inclusion in our sector.
“We are making great progress, but there is more to do, and those at the top have the power to make a big impact by introducing just small changes. Coming together to discuss the positive action we can take to make a tangible difference, and sharing positive examples of success, will really help us drive forward this important mission.”
Arup’s Paul Walsh, Region Chair of the UK, Middle East, India and Africa, will be highlighting how the company has supported its own Push for Change and WiN UK is delighted that Lee McDonough, Director General, Net Zero, Nuclear and International at DESNZ, will be talking about the UK’s Commitment to Gender Diversity in Nuclear.
Lizzi Collinge, MP for Morecambe and Lunesdale, will lead and facilitate the discussion – as an opportunity for us to collectively share successes and commit to further action in the space.
This event is the third in our CEO series, and builds on the successful pledge made by several organisations to achieve greater gender diversity in the sector.
