Career highlights:

Finance (mergers and acquisitions, portfolio management, small scale finance, micro-finance for UK businesses). I joined BEIS as a finance expert and was lured into nuclear new build.  I’ve been involved in GBN from the very start.

What was your dream profession when you were young?

I wanted to be a doctor like my grandmother, to get an MBA like my mother and in the end I pursued neither of these, in reality it was a lot more unplanned and impromptu. I have not had a vanilla career path, I have taken risks and done new things, learned a lot and continued to follow that path as I find it very rewarding.

How have mentors influenced your career progression?

I consider many of the people I work with as informal mentors. You need different kinds of mentors at different times in your life.

Do you have a well-being tip to share?

Eat healthily. Exercise for physical and mental wellbeing.  Don’t overthink things!
