After an overwhelming response to our latest recruitment campaign, WiN UK now have 15 new volunteers joining the mission to improve gender balance in the UK’s nuclear sector.
Lynsey Valentine, WiN UK President, said:
“It’s clear that each applicant shares something in common: their enthusiasm to make a difference. So, I want to offer those joining our team of volunteers a huge welcome and thank them for being so eager to give their time in working towards improving gender balance. We’re absolutely delighted to have broadened our team with people who demonstrate such a variety of skills.
“The different roles that our new recruits perform will definitely help us achieve our mission, both via regional team activity and through helping us operate effectively as a not-for-profit company.
“As we refresh our team, it’s also important for me to recognise those WiN UK volunteers who have stepped up, down, or sideways, after devoting so much commitment to our work in a specific role. They have achieved so much, and are always ready to support newcomers taking over their roles, so thank you for your continued support.
“I also want to thank all the employers of our existing and new recruits for supporting WiN UK. Without this support from organisations across our sector, our team of volunteers would not exist.”
