New Execuitve members appointed

Following a recent recruitment process, WiN can announce the appointments to new roles on our Executive.

The roles are part of a new organisational structural designed to make WiN more effective in delivering our mission. Interviews were held for three new roles: an Operations Executive, a Network Executive and an External Affairs Executive.

We are now pleased to announce that the successful candidates are:

Amanda McKay, as our Operations Executive, with responsibility for chairing our exec meetings, keeping WiN running, our systems and recruitment.

Amanda is the Director of Quality at AWE with a broad career in governance, assurance and improvement. She has worked in public and private sector organisations and businesses across the nuclear, oil and gas, renewables, major infrastructure construction and rail sectors.

Our new Network Executive will be a job share between Elina Militello and Selvin Roberts who are known to many of you in their previous roles as our Regional Leads for North and South.

The Network Executive Role expands their accountabilities and is intended to strengthen our connectivity across the WiN network. Elina and Selvin have responsibility for: regional oversight, building and maintaining our network and our ambassadors.

Elina is the Transport and Scenario Modelling Group Leader for UK Atomic Energy Authority, while Selvin is an External Partnerships Manager for EDF Energy

Maria Arteaga is our first External Affairs Director, and will be taking a lead role in Nuclear Week in Parliament next week. She is a Director in Business Consulting for EY and her WiN responsibilities include: overseeing our existing partnerships, Government relations and industry engagement.

Ivan Baldwin, WiN UK President, said: “I’m delighted to welcome, Amanda, Elina, Selvin and Maria to the Executive team. The new roles form part of a wider evolution to optimise the impact of both our Board and our Exec and I’m sure we see a huge positive impact from their contributions to help further our mission.”
