Women in Nuclear UK (WiN UK) have once again teamed up with STEMAZING to offer WiN UK members the opportunity to take part in our Inspiration Academy.
The academy supports women in STEM to shine as visible role models and inspire young people through fun, interactive STEM sessions in schools.
Applications are now open for this amazing scheme, which aims to raise awareness and aspirations of the opportunities in nuclear energy, challenging gender stereotypes and misperceptions of nuclear, and connecting learning to life.
The programme is aimed at inspiring young girls in Year 8 to consider STEM and more importantly nuclear as a future career option.
We are looking for passionate WiN UK members in the North-West, South-West and Central regions to take part in this three-month programme to inspire the next generation.
You will take part in training and workshops to build your public engagement skills and confidence, plus develop your STEM toolbox to support the delivery of three nuclear themed lessons to Year 8 students.
WiN UK will sponsor up to 10 places on the 2025 programme; however, with more industry support we can increase the size of the 2025 cohort and therefore increase the number of young girls inspired.
To apply to take part in the academy, please apply here. Applications close on 13 December 2025.
If you are an industry supporter and would like more information about supporting the 2025 WiN-STEMAZING programme, please email Leanne Cowie for more information.
