WiN UK celebrates outstanding talent at the 2026 annual awards

Women in Nuclear UK (WiN UK) proudly celebrated the achievements of individuals and organisations across the sector at the WiN UK annual conference and awards 2026, recognising those driving progress, innovation and inclusion across the nuclear industry.

Held at The Vox in Birmingham, the annual awards ceremony brought together professionals from across the UK to honour excellence and shine a spotlight on the inspiring people shaping the future of the sector.

This year’s awards recognised contributions across a wide range of categories, reflecting the depth of talent, leadership and commitment within the WiN UK community and beyond.

Each winner was recognised for their outstanding impact—whether through championing diversity and inclusion, demonstrating exceptional leadership, advancing innovation, or supporting the development of the next generation of talent.

This year’s winners are:

• Ally of the Year – Blair McGeachin, NRS Dounreay
• Champion of the Year – Daisy Carter, Amentum
• Charter Signatory of the Year – Cavendish Nuclear Gender Balance Network
• Mission Possible – Padmaja Das, Rolls-Royce SMR
• Regional Innovation – Women in Nuclear London & South East 2025 committee
• Technical Excellence – Individual winner: Alison Weightman, Rolls Royce Submarines Ltd (RRSL)
• Technical Excellence – Team winner: Low Activity Waste Team, Cyclife UK
