Could you lead the charge to make a real difference in the nuclear industry?
Women in Nuclear UK is looking for its next inspirational leader, passionate about addressing the gender balance in the sector with an ability to influence and push for change at the highest levels.
Building on the tenure of current President Ivan Baldwin, who spearheaded a drive to include more allies and men in the debate to make a difference to women in nuclear professions, the successful candidate will be a strong leader who can build and maintain positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
Ivan said: “It’s a fantastic privilege to be WiN UK’s President. It’s a really worthwhile role which supports what the industry is striving for in terms of growth and progress. Plus, you get to work with an amazing, talented bunch of people who are the real driving force behind our mission.
“If you think you could build the connections in the industry, and beyond, to make a difference and have the tenacity to carry on pushing for change and being that voice for transformation, I’d encourage you to step forward.”
As well as being familiar with the challenges facing women entering and working in the industry, you will have a good understanding of wider issues around equality, diversity and inclusion. The voluntary role will run for a minimum of two years and require a sustained commitment throughout the tenure.
WiN UK’s goals include increasing the workforce proportion to 40% female by 2030.
