SUMMARY:The Silent Killer of Truly Diverse and Inclusive workplaces
DESCRIPTION:Women in Nuclear UK in Collaboration with Speak Out Revolution invite you to join us to discuss the silent killer of truly diverse and inclusive workplaces; unresolved and unreported harassment and bullying. \nCan we create truly inclusive working environments without addressing how we handle harassment and bullying complaints in the workplace? A recent anonymous survey highlighted that it is TWICE as likely that speaking up and reporting harassment and bullying to your organisation will make your situation worse\, not better. \nIn this talk Marie Hemingway discusses the accepted culture of silence around harassment and bullying\, the practices which perpetuate the problem and why we need a Speak Out Revolution if we’re committed to achieving fair and safe working environments for everyone. \nThis event welcomes attendees from all genders and organisations. We hope that you can join us! \nRegister now to secure your place at this FREE webinar. \nhttps://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/win-uk-webinar-the-silent-killer-of-truly-diverse-and-inclusive-workplaces-tickets-124974107921

SUMMARY:Unconscious Bias Training
DESCRIPTION:If unchecked\, unconscious bias can affect the diversity of our workforce. \nAn organisation whose workforce or members are from a diverse background is potentially more creative and demonstrates better innovation than one where all the team members share the same cultural background. \nThe session includes a mix of presentation slides\, videos\, group and individual activities. It is intended for business leaders\, those who are involved in management\, recruitment or promotion of staff or anyone keen to understand more about the subject. \nTo register contact: winnorthwest@nuclearinst.com or gillian.thomas@nda.gov.uk

SUMMARY:A system perspective to the challenge of achieving gender balance in the Nuclear Industry
DESCRIPTION:In planning and policy making\, a complex wicked problem is a problem that is difficult to solve because of incomplete\, contradictory data\, path dependency and long delays between cause and effects. Improving gender balance is one of this wicked problems because we lack enough information\, the challenges we see now are result of decisions and behaviours from the past and seeing the impact of actions to correct takes a long time. \nSystems thinking offers a helpful tool to analyse wicked problems and to find implementable solutions. Join us to see how we can use system thinking to draw insights that can help us to reduce gender inequality and gender pay gap in the nuclear industry. \nRegister now to secure your place at this FREE webinar. \nWednesday 11 November \nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_klMYyKhfQN6raV80XqLM-Q
